Mazars sponsors The Economist initiative « The Good Bank »

The Good Bank initiative, devised by The Economist Group, is an integrated programme (a six-month long conversation) which aims to develop a model for a sustainable, trustworthy and effective bank.

The Good Bank initiative, sponsored by Credit Suisse, Mazars, and SAP and supported by Capgemini, will develop a new scenario that matches the needs of society, while meeting the requirements for a profitable business model. The project is an ongoing global public dialogue, which invites input and participation from key stakeholders in the international community and culminates in a live online debate on June 4th 2013.

As a sponsor, Mazars takes part into the global conversation along the following lines: "How to build/restore confidence? What will be the next successful business model? What is the role of a "good bank"? It is part of Mazars' responsibilities to independently advocate an operational model that will increase quality, transparency and confidence in the banking industry and, in this way, promote financial stability and the return of sustainable growth." Charles de Boisriou, Global Head of Mazars Banking practice.

The Mazars Program Ambassadors are Jonathan McMahon, Partner (London), Stephen Brecher, Partner (New York), and Fabrice Demarigny, Partner (Paris). They will contribute to the ongoing debate around what makes “a good bank”.
