Experience
Wiehann joined Mazars in 2010 after completing his Accounting Degree at the University of Stellenbosch he then obtained his Honours Degree in Accounting and Auditing from the University of South Africa and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (SA) in 2014.
Wiehann obtained experience in commerce working for the Maitland Group’s Private Equity and Real Estate division and international experience working for Mazars New York. Wiehann services a variety of clients in various industries, with a focus on digital assets. He has featured in various South African and International publications, television interviews and online webinars for his expertise and thought leadership in the digital asset and cryptocurrency sector.
Wiehann is also Mazars in South Africa’s Digital Asset Leader and has been involved in the digital assets industry for over 5 years, which stemmed from his involvement in the financial services and fintech sectors. Wiehann has a Master of Science in Blockchain and Digital Currencies and completed an Executive Program on Blockchain Technologies through MIT. His experience in the crypto industry include consulting and assurance engagement services for cryptocurrency exchanges, cryptocurrency custodian wallets, OTC and arbitrage platforms, ERC20 fund structures and cryptocurrency bundle investment platforms in South Africa, Singapore, Cayman, the UAE, US and UK.
