Vitalina Kobernik Audit Director - FS Insurance

Vitalina is a Director within the UK Financial Services practice with 13 years of experience in providing consulting and audit services to insurance companies across Europe and Asia. Having an extensive technical knowledge of IFRS 17, Vitalina joined Mazars as a member of the firm’s UK IFRS 17 (Insurance Contracts) advisory team. Vitalina was actively involved in the IFRS 17 standard setting process as a member of IASB technical staff. During this time, Vitalina published a number of technical papers, developed podcasts and created educational webinars to support IFRS 17 implementation.

Expertise in insurance was gained over 11 years at big four accounting firms with clients across the life and general insurance sectors. Prior to joining IASB, her main focus was on leading IFRS 17 implementation and providing IFRS 17 trainings at a multinational listed insurance company in Hong Kong. Other advisory projects with a focus on new regulatory requirements included Solvency II implementation projects for the UK insurance companies and first time adoption of IFRS standards for insurance companies in Russia.
