Training and work experience
Paul graduated as a tax lawyer from Leiden University in 1997. Following the completion of his degree programme, Paul has accrued many years of national and international experience as a tax consultant with Big Four firms in Amsterdam and the Eastern Netherlands.
In 2013, Paul joined the accountancy and tax consultancy firm Ten Kate Huizinga to expand its tax consultancy activities. He made partner in 2015.
With Mazars' takeover of Ten Kate Huizinga on 1 January 2018, Paul became a partner/shareholder at Mazars Netherlands.
Paul's main focus is on advising businesses on their restructuring activities, mergers and acquisitions. In addition, he has a particular interest in assisting directors and principal shareholders. Paul's sector expertise covers the automotive, building, trade and manufacturing industries.
Paul is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (NOB). He also holds a number of administrative positions in Enschede.
