The Centre for Audit Committee and Investor Dialogue
Mazars and five leading institutional investors in the UK and internationally (Columbia Threadneedle, Hermes Fund Managers, Royal London Asset Management, RPMI Railpen Investments and USSIM), run the Centre for Audit Committee and Investor Dialogue (“the Centre”) to promote dialogue between FTSE350 audit committees and investors.
As the 2008 financial crisis put the importance of the audit committee into focus, their role in ensuring clear and constructive communication between companies and their shareholders has become more critical than ever. In order to foster communication between these two parties, The Centre provides regular opportunities for discussion between audit committee chairs of FTSE350 companies and leading institutional investors on topics of mutual interest.
The Centre is chaired by Jann Brown, Audit Committee Chairman of Wood Group PLC and Immediate Past President of ICAS (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland). Meetings are held over dinner in London under the Chatham House Rule, allowing for open, lively and frank discussion.
