The Good Fund seminar 26 September 2013, Luxembourg

Mazars organises a seminar on the theme of “the good fund” on 26 September 2013 in Luxembourg.

Over the past few months, the Mazars Group has, along with co-sponsors Credit Suisse and SAP, actively promoted the Good Bank initiative, an integrated programme devised by The Economist Group which aims to create a model for an innovative, trustworthy and effective bank.

With the recent entry into force of the European Union Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD), we are now focusing on whether and how AIFMD can contribute to the development of investment funds that generate strong performance for their investors whilst promoting sound business practices - hence the emphasis of the forthcoming Good Fund seminar on corporate governance issues, such as the role and responsibilities of the custodian bank, organisational requirements, the remuneration policy and risk management systems.

The Good Fund seminar will start with a keynote speech, and will be followed by a panel session, with industry experts from asset managers (BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Schroders), custodian banks (BNY Mellon) and law firms (Elvinger, Hoss & Prussen).
