Mazars, partner of the Cité de la Réussite 2017: transmission starts with permission

At Mazars, we place transmission at the heart of our identity. Our story is one of a unique company, an integrated, independent and international organisation that draws upon the expertise of 18,000 women and men operating in 79 countries. Our story is inextricably linked to that of one man, Robert Mazars, who passed down his company to a group of young partners without asking for any financial compensation nor imposing his views for the future. He also handed down his philosophy that transmission starts with allowing others to reach his or her full potential.

Our story is one of a firm who has only had four CEOs in nearly 80 years and, through its carefully crafted models of succession, has safeguarded the company's founding principles.

At Mazars, we've been down the same path as our clients: our own history enables us to be better business advisors to all companies, from large corporations to mid-caps and startups, at every stage of their development, in France and globally. As auditors, accountants or advisers, our activities touch the most important technological and cultural trends impacting our contemporary societies. Forecasting these shifts allows us to help our clients navigate the complexities of the financial assessment, evaluation and transmission of their businesses.

We strongly believe that each generation has a responsibility to ensure that the companies, economies and society they hand over to future generations are stronger than ever. This moral and civic duty has a name: stewardship. For Mazars, the goal of transmission is not to remain static, but to encourage new development. That's what we mean when we say that transmission starts with permission.
