Mazars seminar on Luxembourg's patrimonial foundation

Mazars Luxembourg is organising a seminar on Luxembourg’s Patrimonial Foundation on 26 March 2014 in Luxembourg.

With the introduction of a draft law in 2013 regarding the Luxembourg's Patrimonial Foundation, we are now anticipating whether this vehicle represents a valid alternative to the existing corporate or contractual vehicles commonly used in the areas of patrimonial and inheritance structuring and planning.

PROGRAMME

In this seminar, within the context of new regulations and recent ECJ decisions on the free movement of capital between EU states, we will :

  • Identify which opportunities could be offered by the Luxembourg Patrimonial Foundation to manage and to administrate private wealth within a European cross border context.
  • Cover the tax attributes of this new vehicle from the perspective of resident and non-resident HNWIs and entrepreneurs.

The draft law also introduces the principle of a readjustment of the value of some assets belonging to individuals moving their tax residency to Luxembourg. Therefore, during the Seminar, we will also aim to clarify the scope of this new measure and how it could be adequately combined with the set-up of a Patrimonial Foundation in Luxembourg.

Mazars’ Luxembourg’s Patrimonial Foundation Seminar will start with a keynote speech, and will be followed by a panel session.

SPEAKERS

Key industry participants (private banks and wealth managers, law firms) as well as representatives from Mazars.
The final line-up will be confirmed in early March.
