At Mazars, we may work with numbers - but we are not numbers. We all come from different places, cultures and disciplines. We each have our own unique personality and perspective.

But although we all have our own minds, we share certain traits that mark us out from our competitors.

Our HR policy

Our HR policy is a key part of our Group's development strategy. It aims to attract, nurture and retain the talented individuals who have ensured our success in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

It is based on three key elements:

  • Offering all employees a variety of career opportunities
  • Allowing talents to flourish by supporting the personal development of our employees and allowing them to achieve their potential
  • Making each person's work a part of the shared entrepreneurial adventure that is Mazars

A variety of career opportunities

Our rapid development and the way in which we are organised and run mean that a variety of career opportunities are available to each one:

  • When hiring staff we are not looking for people who fit a standard profile, but rather for individuals who will be able to share our values and who possess entrepreneurial flair.
  • Out of principle, we do not ask our employees to specialise when starting out. This means that they gain a variety of strong skills and are then better able to construct their career path later on
  • Finally, we encourage a transversal approach at all stages of working life - whether this be job-wise or geographically - as well as international multidisciplinary teamwork.

Tailored development

Each of our employees is unique. They have different backgrounds and previous experience, and we need to know what these are in order to make the most of them. Our staff have their own ambitions for the future which we need to be aware of and help them to achieve. Because of this,

  • From the outset, each employee follows an induction programme and is guided by a mentor who will remain their trusted advisor for the duration of their career.
  • We have an appraisal system which allows everyone to receive feedback following each significant assignment, or at least once a year. This provides the opportunity to engage in an in-depth discussion with their mentor. It also means a career development plan can be drawn up which includes training requirements, assignment types, international transfers, flexible working hours, and so on.
  • Group training and individual coaching are implemented at national and Group level.
These allow us to assist each employee with their career development as well as technical and managerial development, depending on their role.
  • Our rapid business development means that career opportunities are available to everyone depending on their personal preferences: taking on responsibility at an early stage, possibilities to move between different business lines, international transfers, etc.
  • We have implemented an ambitious international exchange programme between the different Group offices.
  • We recognise the importance of getting the correct balance between professional and private life. For those who so desire, we offer the opportunity of working part-time or taking time off for a career break.

A shared adventure

We can only achieve success by team playing:

  • Meetings are organised on a frequent basis in order to share information and bring our values to life. Staff feedback, such that obtained via internal surveys, is regularly sought in order to gauge our progress and determine what may be required for us to operate more efficiently. This participative method means that everyone can play a part in formulating appropriate solutions.
  • Many informal activities (such as the Mazariades) are also organised in order to let us get to know each other better in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
  • However, the scope of our commitment has gone beyond simply business and is now also demonstrated by various sponsorship and patronage schemes in areas such as the protection and the promotion of global cultural heritage, helping those most in need, promoting diversity, supporting public debates and education.
  • Finally, we encourage the creation of alumni groups as sources of help and support, sharing of knowledge and also.pleasure.
