Françoise Flores, Mazars partner, has renewed her mandate as member of EFRAG

Françoise Flores, Partner in Mazars and ACTEO Technical Advisor has been granted renewal of her term of office as member of TEG (Technical Expert Group) by the Supervisory Board of EFRAG for a further period of two years.


THE ROLE OF EFRAG

The EFRAG assignments are manifold:

• EFRAG is Technical Advisor to the European Commission for the adoption process of IFRS standards;
• EFRAG maintains a permanent technical watch on all projects undertaken by IASB and intercedes with IASB and IFRIC so that the standards and interpretations that are finally published guarantee the best possible quality of financial information within a European context;
• EFRAG, assisted by national standard setters, takes an active lead in Europe, in the wake of IASB projects, in reflecting on the big accounting issues, to be dealt with in the medium term.

The EFRAG group of technical experts is composed of 11 members, who at present originate from seven different European countries.

The EFRAG assignments respond to issues that are all the more important today since IFRS constitute the accounting frame of reference that is applied by all listed European companies and because the majority of the major projects that IASB undertakes are carried out jointly with the American Standard Setter (FASB).


FRANCOISE FLORES

Françoise Flores, Partner in Mazars, is a graduate of HEC and holds a DESCF qualification. After 23 years professional experience in the service industry, in Financial and Human Resources functions (Thomson/Thalès, Intertechnique, BPI), 10 years of which were spent as Administrative and Financial Director, she rejoined Mazars' Technical Department as IFRS expert in March 2002. Simultaneously, she became Technical Advisor of ACTEO and was named member of EFRAG in 2004.
