Club des Trente’s prize for the best finance deal Date : 15/05/2008 Mazars will once again sponsor the “best finance deal” award which is granted by the Club des Trente each year. The ceremony will take place on the 15th May at Sciences Po, Paris. Created in 1973, the Club des Trente comprises the heads of very large French companies: the financial directors, presidents or managers of the large companies whom have previously held or currently hold financial positions. These financial experts meet together each month to analyse the merits of recent financial transactions, in which they are often themselves key players, and each year since 2001 they have awarded a prize for the “best finance deal of the year”. Through this award, the Club des Trente wishes to demonstrate how finance and financial markets can be used to serve ambitious industrial strategies, whilst also being compatible with the aims of sustainable development. The panel of judges for the award, of which Patrick de Cambourg, the President of Mazars is a member and which is chaired by Frank Dangeard, the former CEO of Thomson, comes to its decision according to the following criteria: innovation, creation of value, compatibility with the company’s strategy and the impact of the transaction on the social and economic environment. Mazars will sponsor the 8th annual award ceremony on the 15th May with the guests invited by Club in attendance, consisting of Financial and Administrative Directors of key accounts and Mid Caps, investors, bankers and several other representatives of the financial world. 33rd annual conference of the International Organisation of Securities Commission (IOSCO) 26/05/2008 - 29/05/2008 Mazars is the only firm in its sector of activity to sponsor the 33rd annual conference of the International Organisation of Securities Commission (OICV-IOSCO- the International Organisation of Securities Commission). The AMF (Autorité des Marchés Financiers) is responsible for hosting this event at the Palais des Congrès in Paris which will assemble the principal national and international regulatory bodies for the financial markets.
