The 90s
From Cabinet Robert Mazars to Holding Mazars SA
Between 1990 and 1994 Mazars had “a string of important business successes”, taking on new clients such as UAP, the Crédit Foncier de France, Lyonniase des Eaux-Dumez and Crédit Lyonnais (in 1994).
The consultancy continued to grow internally, but also through its international and regional expansion. The original company of Cabinet Robert Mazars was placed under the tutelage of the holding firm Holding Mazars SA, which also owned regional agencies and was involved in foreign investments.
“It was during this period that we created an Economic Interest Group (EEIG) with partners in several countries, based on either direct participation in the capital or on cooperation agreements. We were looking to create our own development model from three possibilities: organic growth through expansion of our activity, external growth through acquisitions, or associative growth in which members would be integrated into an open association.”

«By 1994, the values which had been “patiently adopted
and broken in” had become the “ingredients of our
future dynamics”. The firm had six hundred partners
and staff and its consolidated turnover was around
fifty million euros. In retrospect, it was sometimes
difficult, even very difficult. But each one of us came to maturity
through patient work, with struggles, but not without greatness.»
