Chile - A new flag for Mazars in South America

Chile is among the countries which recently joined the Mazars integrated partnership. Mazars Live greeted the new partners and asked a few questions to Luis Martinez Erazo, Managing Partner.

Mazars Live: what is your perception of the current economic situation of Chile?

Luis Martinez Erazo: Chile has enjoyed a sustained growth and dynamic economy. Long term policies were implemented by governments. Exports have been diversified, and over the last years the price of copper has increased, that commodity being the main export product.

Mazars Live: What are the main business opportunities for a chartered accounting / audit at tax advisory business in Chile at present?

Luis Martinez Erazo: Chile has an open economic system and offers many business opportunities. Here, mining, energy, farming, forest, fishing, industry and services, imports, exports are very important field of activities on which we are focused.

Mazars Live: What in your opinion could be a competitive advantage for Mazars in Chile?

Luis Martinez Erazo: Mazars in Chile has many opportunities. The economy of Chile is made of thousands of Small and Medium Enterprises, aside of big companies.
We know them well and have experience with Medium Enterprises in audit, tax and outsourcing of accounting and we have the competence to assist to bigger ones.
