In order to reinforce its European dynamics and, in particular, its coverage of the Mediterranean basin, Mazars concluded in March an agreement with a new correspondent : the Greek company RPS.
Created in Athens at the end of 2007 by former professionals of Grant Thornton, RPS is led by 5 local partners, all of whom are certified public accountants and registered with SOEL, the Greek representation Body of certified public accountants:
Apart from them, the RPS team consists of ten professionals working in 3 main sectors:
During the first 18 months of its existence, RPS reached a turnover of €1.45 million and provided services for around 40 clients from the private sector, including several listed groups, as well as bodies from the public sector. This demonstrates a real development potential.
Mazars also signed a correspondence agreement with the Kenyan company, KOKA Koimburi & Co, in March 2010. Created in 1981 by Owen Koimburi, the firm consists of around 50 professionals and is led by 5 local partners who are members of ICPAK (Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya):
KOKA Koimburi & Co. offers a complete range of services which cover the following main fields:
KOKA Koimburi & Co. has a total of 320 clients on the Kenyan market including private businesses in the industry and service sectors, corporations, local institutions, NGOs, and private individuals. Several international development aid bodies (‘Donors’) also figure among its clients, constituting one of Mazars’ main targets within the emerging markets.
Already established in southern, northern, western and central Africa, Mazars completes its African continental expansion and increases its geographical coverage in this area thanks to this new correspondence agreement.
In addition to a direct presence in 56 countries through its integrated partnership, Mazars thus has reinforced its geographical coverage over two continents. In sum, the correspondence agreements and joint ventures enables Mazars to support its clients with the same degree of service quality in 17 additional countries.
