Key stages in our European strategy
- The integration of Neville Russell in the United Kingdom in 1997 and the creation of Mazars Neville Russell, which took the name of Mazars in 2002. There are currently 1,000 employees in the UK and turnover is around €100m, half of which is generated by statutory audit mandates. This puts Mazars in ninth place on its market. Moreover, Mazars has been chosen along with five other local organisations to work for the Audit Commission.
- The integration of Paardekooper Hoffman in the Netherlands in 2000, with nearly 800 employees working to serve our clients. Mazars ranks sixth on the audit market in this country and generates more than 15% of the organisation's total turnover.
- Mazars are also present in Spain and Italy where they rank fifth in the market.
- In Germany and in Central Europe, notably Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary, Mazars is a well-known player, particularly on the segment covering international clients of European origin. In all these countries, our units rank among the top ten market players.
