Asia has become a global growth driver, and both local and international companies are seeking assistance from firms offering a large range of expertise whilst having a presence across the principal markets of the region. This is the case for Mazars who are forever striving to strengthen its presence and services.
The Mazars Odyssey project we carried out in 2006 enabled us to identify the major priority regions for our geographic expansion. One of these was Asia-Pacific, a region where we are continually strengthening our presence.
Mazars has implemented a strategy of ongoing development in Asia, allowing our organisation to strengthen its presence in a crucial expansion zone for our large clients.
In 2008, we have integrated a firm of 80 people in Thailand, serving local clients and Japanese companies working in the country. We have 150 new staff in Kuala Lumpur, thanks to the integration of our sixth firm in Malaysia. We have also more than doubled our capacity in Vietnam, in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and are now working in Indonesia with a staff of 200. Finally, we have signed two integration agreements in Australia, one in Sydney and one in Perth.
Mazars has offices in around ten Asia-Pacific countries, including the most significant, China and India.
By setting up Mazars CPA Limited in Hong Kong, a full member of the partnership and of the Praxity Alliance, Mazars is taking a further step in its development in the Asia Pacific region.
Mazars CPA Limited became official in June 2007 following the reorganisation of Moores Rowland Mazars (MRM). The firm provides audit and tax consulting services to a customer base in Hong Kong and mainland China, made up of large corporations, SMEs and high net worth individuals. Mazars CPA Limited is chaired by ML Man. Kenneth Morrison is Managing Director.
We have to make sure we are in a position to adapt to the rapide growth of our business in Hong Kong and Singapore, thanks to the global trend for shifting financial and economic activity to Asian markets.
Mazars has recently signed two integration agreements in Australia, one in Sydney and one in Perth.
Mazars also has a presence in New Caledonia thanks to its correspondent office.
All together, Mazars now has more than 1,800 staff working in Asia-Pacific, a region with exceptional development potential.
You will find here detailed profiles for each country where Mazars is present: directory of offices, facts and figures, local website, etc.
